Aim and basis of the exercises

This series of short video clips shows various mental exercises for self-stabilisation and focus. The clips only last a few minutes each and are ideal for short work interruptions in the home office (e.g. during a longer Zoom meeting). Teaching staff are also welcome to draw their students' attention to them and recommend the clips before exams, for example, or incorporate them into longer face-to-face courses.

The impulses published in the video clips come from the experience of working with people in crisis situations and are professionally prepared for us by Waltraud Friedrich as an expert in change management and resilience. The exercises are based on mental training methods. Current neuroscience research shows that body movements release neurotransmitters that can increase our well-being and reduce our stress levels. If you would like to read more about this, you can find more detailed information under the following keywords: embodiment, mental training, Body2brain, Zapchen.

The exercises have been carefully selected. The measure of using them is your well-being. If a exercise does not work for you, try another one. Intensive breathing may sometimes cause some dizziness, especially if you are not used to it. Please dose this for yourself so that it always feels good for you. Good luck with trying it out.

This video series will be continuously expanded. Do you have any requests for further exercises? Please feel free to contact us!

All video clips are available with English subtitles. Please click the “Untertitel (c)button in the video control bar to switch them on/off.
